Buyer's Digest

Use this page as a product-first sourcing checkpoint before sending an RFQ. Category: Filtration And Membranes. Confirm application fit, capacity, materials, destination, lead time and compliance requirements before comparing suppliers.

Original product description

The NF98 Series comprises spiral-wound nanofiltration membrane elements built with thin-film nanocomposite (TFN) technology. Available configurations include HF for high throughput, SP for salt separation, Pro for high rejection, and SPEC for customized requirements. Both 4040 and 8040 formats are listed.

Published model data distinguishes each configuration by effective membrane area, product flow, and salt-ion rejection. The 4040 elements have 82 ft² (7.6 m²) of effective membrane area, while the 8040 elements have 400 ft² (37.2 m²). All listed standard models use a 34 mil feed spacer.

Depending on the model, published flow ranges from 1,850 to 2,800 gpd for 4040 elements and from 9,100 to 13,800 gpd for 8040 elements. Published bivalent-salt-ion rejection is 96% for HF models and 99% for SP and Pro models.

Published monovalent-salt-ion rejection ranges from 30–50% for HF and SP models and 40–60% for Pro models. These flow and rejection figures were measured under controlled test conditions using 2,000 ppm MgSO4 and 2,000 ppm Na. Cl at 70 psi (0.48 MPa), 77°F (25°C), and 15% recovery.

Product water yield has a stated variation of ±15%. Actual performance should therefore be evaluated against the buyer’s feed composition, temperature, pressure, recovery target, pretreatment design, and fouling conditions.

Listed applications include industrial minimum- and zero-liquid-discharge systems, resource recovery and recycling, softening, chloralkali processing, landfill-leachate decoloring, and removal of organic compounds.

The application information also identifies industrial water treatment and reuse projects across petrochemical, mining, lithium processing, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, power, and other sectors. Suitability for any specific process is not established by the application list alone.

Before procurement, the buyer should confirm the exact model, required ion selectivity, target permeate quality, expected flow at actual operating conditions, feed-water analysis, pretreatment requirements, cleaning protocol, chemical exposure limits, pressure limits, housing and system fit, quantity, customization scope, inspection criteria, packaging, delivery schedule, and case-specific warranty terms.

Certifications or project references required for qualification should also be reviewed for their exact scope and applicability to the ordered membrane element.

Buyer tips

  • State quantity range and split-delivery needs before price comparison.
  • Add certification, material or inspection standards when they affect acceptance.
  • For time-sensitive projects, include target arrival date and destination.
  • For special applications, describe operating condition, installation environment and duty cycle.

FAQ

What should buyers confirm first?

Confirm application, specification, quantity, destination and lead-time requirements before comparing offers.

Can buyers inquire when specs are incomplete?

Yes. Add model, material, size, use case and inspection needs in the RFQ to make replies comparable.

How should this listing be evaluated?

Check title, category, specifications and related keywords against the actual sourcing requirement.
